The program profiled Clergy, a young Filipina holding a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. Although she initially aspired to a career in the cruise industry to satisfy her passion for travel, she was unable to meet specific physical requirements. Furthermore, the high costs associated with job application processes and the insufficient wages offered by local office positions in the Philippines made it difficult for her to maintain financial independence. Consequently, she chose to seek employment as a domestic helper in Singapore to better support herself and her family, illustrating the economic challenges that often lead highly educated individuals to pursue manual labor abroad.
