Nonthaburi Governor Chettha Molikarat has officially designated Mueang Nonthaburi and Pak Kret as disaster zones due to severe flooding. The provincial administration issued these orders following persistent heavy rainfall and an increase in the water level of the Chao Phraya River. The flooding, which began impacting residential areas on September 25, has caused damage to both public and private property while creating significant safety risks for local inhabitants. Specific subdistricts within Mueang Nonthaburi, including Suan Yai, Bang Khen, Bang Kraso, Talat Khwan, and Tha Sai, are currently under the disaster declaration. As the director of the provincial disaster mitigation center, the governor's orders are intended to facilitate emergency response and support for the affected communities as water levels remain a concern for the region.
