The President of Uzbekistan has initiated a comprehensive modernization of the national emergency response system to address challenges posed by urban growth and climate change. Key objectives include implementing the "golden minute" principle to significantly reduce response times and reorganizing 25 rescue units in densely populated areas. The strategy involves creating a national multidisciplinary rescue center, an aviation unit, and enhancing the 112 dispatch system through artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the government aims to improve safety at the nation's 56 reservoirs by establishing professional rescue teams and training specialized divers. These safety improvements are linked to a broader initiative to promote tourism at reservoirs, supported by tax incentives for entrepreneurs who comply with strict safety certifications. Finally, authorities are deploying advanced monitoring technologies, including seismic sensors and video surveillance, to ensure the structural integrity and safe operation of all water reservoirs across the country.
