Immigration authorities in Phuket apprehended a 40-year-old French citizen on October 20 following an Interpol Red Notice issued by Belgium. The individual, identified by the pseudonym Brahim, was sought for his alleged involvement in the illegal distribution of narcotics and psychotropic substances. Acting on intelligence that the suspect was residing in Thailand, Phuket immigration officers collaborated with their counterparts in Satun to locate him in the Patong area. Upon confirming his identity at his residence, officials moved to take him into custody. Consequently, the suspect's legal authorization to stay within the country has been officially revoked by Thai immigration authorities as the legal process regarding his potential extradition proceeds.
