Boeing is nearing the completion of a long-delayed order from Turkish Airlines for 150 737 MAX jets. This development follows the airline's threat to consider Airbus due to concerns over engine costs and maintenance agreements. Reports indicate that the deal could be finalized as soon as next week. Both Boeing and engine supplier CFM International have refrained from commenting, while Turkish Airlines has not responded to inquiries. This order is part of a larger 225-plane package announced after a meeting between Turkey's President Erdoğan and former US President Trump in September 2025, which included firm orders for 50 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and options for additional aircraft.
