Persistent heavy rainfall has endangered the Namuna Basti settlement located in Narayan Municipality-1, Dailekh. A landslide that began on Sunday night has already forced the evacuation of eight families, totaling 37 individuals. Local police, led by Inspector Rishikesh Gautam Harijan, assisted in relocating these residents to a nearby vegetable collection center. The community, which consists of 65 Badi families residing on a steep incline, remains in a precarious position as further soil instability threatens the entire area. Local inhabitants are particularly anxious due to previous fatal landslides that claimed the lives of community members. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as the risk of additional structural damage persists.
