Qatar and Belgium have officially entered into a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing collaboration between their respective law enforcement agencies. Belgian Interior Minister Bernard Quintin confirmed the agreement following discussions with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. The partnership is designed to facilitate the sharing of intelligence, provide specialized training, and coordinate joint operations against terrorism, drug smuggling, and the illegal trade of weapons. This initiative seeks to deepen the existing diplomatic ties between the two nations by establishing practical frameworks for police cooperation. Implementation of these collaborative measures is expected to commence in the near future, marking a significant advancement in bilateral security efforts to address transnational crime.
