Mohsen Pakaein, a former Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan, recently asserted that Iran remains committed to safeguarding its nuclear infrastructure. He characterized recent American threats against these facilities as lacking legal standing, particularly noting Iran's adherence to the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Pakaein criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency and the UN Security Council for failing to adequately address Washington's rhetoric. He reiterated that Iran’s nuclear activities are strictly for peaceful purposes, a stance he claims is supported by international oversight. Furthermore, the former diplomat warned that any military aggression against Iranian nuclear sites would trigger a firm response and could destabilize regional security, potentially creating dangerous precedents for other nations possessing nuclear capabilities. He also dismissed allegations regarding secret facilities at Kuh-e Kolang as misinformation propagated by the United States.
