Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman Chow Kon Yeow has clarified that recent comments made by DAP adviser Lim Guan Eng regarding the exclusion of Umno from the state administration do not constitute an official party stance. Lim had previously challenged Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to push for the removal of Umno members from the Penang government. However, Chow emphasized that no formal directives have been issued by the party on this subject. He urged stakeholders to remain patient while awaiting a definitive ruling from the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council. Chow maintained that current state government arrangements remain unchanged and that individual opinions expressed by party members should not be interpreted as the collective position of the organization.
