Following his testimony, Davutoğlu emphasized that this legal action marks an unprecedented event in the history of the Turkish Republic, as it is the first time a former head of government has been summoned as a suspect for voicing political criticism. To prevent potential damage to the nation's international standing, the former official chose to cancel upcoming public engagements and media appearances. He was accompanied to the courthouse by the leaders of the Democracy and Progress Party and the Felicity Party.
