Authorities in Kazakhstan's Zhetysu region have initiated an investigation following reports and social media footage showing heavy machinery operating at the Taldybulak Saka burial mounds. Residents raised concerns, questioning the methods used at the archaeological site and suggesting it appeared to be vandalism rather than proper excavation. The Zhetysu regional administration confirmed awareness of the situation, which reportedly involved earthworks at a burial mound in the Shubar rural district. The police are now looking into the unauthorized use of construction equipment at this historical location.
