A new intergovernmental alliance focused on addressing cross-border cyber and telecommunications fraud was officially launched this Thursday. The inaugural meeting took place in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China, drawing participation from 46 founding nations and 34 observer countries. Additionally, representatives from four international bodies, including Interpol and the United Nations, were present to support the initiative. Spearheaded by the Chinese government, this organization aims to strengthen collaborative efforts between global law enforcement agencies. By fostering international cooperation, the alliance seeks to improve the effectiveness of investigations and enforcement actions against increasingly sophisticated digital criminal networks that operate across national borders.
