The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population in Kazakhstan has introduced a draft resolution aimed at raising social security payments. Under this proposal, benefits provided by the State Social Insurance Fund for individuals with disabilities and those who have lost a breadwinner are scheduled to rise by 8.5 percent. This adjustment is slated to take effect on January 1, 2027, with the government stating that the initiative is designed to enhance the social welfare of current recipients. The draft document is currently available on the "Open NPA" portal, where it will remain open for public feedback until November 2. This move follows existing payment structures, which currently provide an average disability benefit of 72,409 tenge as of early 2026.
