The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Uzbekistan Office recently organized a networking event in Tashkent titled “AI Connects, Culture Bonds.” Attended by over 100 alumni and officials, including the South Korean Ambassador, the gathering aimed to reinforce professional connections and cultural understanding between the two nations. During the event, the second executive committee of the KOICA Uzbekistan Alumni Association was inaugurated, with Jafar Khidirov appointed to lead the organization through 2028. Since 1995, KOICA has provided training to approximately 3,300 Uzbek professionals, fostering development through capacity-building initiatives. The program featured cultural performances and traditional activities, highlighting the agency's ongoing commitment to sustainable partnerships. KOICA representatives emphasized that the primary goal of these initiatives is to ensure that knowledge acquired in Korea is effectively applied to support Uzbekistan's national development and long-term professional cooperation.
