Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi has appealed for political cooperation to effectively manage the aftermath of recent natural disasters across Nepal. Speaking at a Lions Club function in Janakpur, Nidhi emphasized that the nation must prioritize rescue operations, aid distribution, and long-term reconstruction efforts over partisan interests. He highlighted the severe impact of recent floods and landslides, specifically noting the destruction in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts, which has significantly disrupted local livelihoods. Nidhi acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force, noting that security personnel have been actively involved in emergency response operations for nearly two weeks. He reiterated that a unified approach is essential to address the widespread loss of life and property caused by these environmental catastrophes.
