Authorities in Perak have decided to uphold the suspension of outdoor school events, even as air quality levels show signs of improvement across the state. Datuk Khairudin Abu Hanipah, the state committee chairman for education and sports, confirmed that while schools remain open, all academic and extracurricular sessions must take place inside classrooms. This directive, which includes the cancellation of camping trips and athletic events, aligns with current Ministry of Education guidelines regarding the haze. Motivational programs and other school-related gatherings are also restricted to indoor settings to ensure student safety. The state government continues to monitor the situation closely, adhering to official protocols to mitigate the health risks posed by the ongoing haze conditions in the region.
