Data released by the Road Safety Foundation indicates that 481 individuals lost their lives in traffic-related incidents throughout Bangladesh during the month of August. Additionally, the report documented 664 people sustaining injuries in these collisions. Among the casualties, 61 women and 58 children were identified as victims. The analysis highlights that motorcycle accidents remain a significant concern, with 183 separate incidents resulting in 176 deaths. These motorcycle crashes represent approximately 36.59% of the total fatalities and 35.67% of all recorded road accidents for the period. The organization compiled these figures to provide an overview of the ongoing safety challenges on the nation's roadways.
