A six-story structure functioning as a 75-bed paying guest facility collapsed on Sunday afternoon in the Satya Niketan area of New Delhi. The incident, which occurred around 1:30 pm near the South campus of Delhi University, has resulted in at least six confirmed deaths and left two individuals in critical condition. Emergency responders have successfully rescued eleven people, though concerns remain that others may still be buried beneath the rubble. In response to the tragedy, the Delhi administration has initiated a magisterial investigation to determine the cause of the collapse. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences regarding the event, noting that local authorities are actively engaged in rescue operations and providing support to the victims.
