The Sri Lankan Rupee saw a decline in value against the US Dollar on October 21 compared to the previous day's figures. Data from several major commercial banks indicates a consistent upward trend in both buying and selling rates for the greenback. At Seylan Bank, the selling rate reached 336.65 rupees, while NDB Bank recorded a selling rate of 336.30 rupees. Similar adjustments were observed at People’s Bank and Commercial Bank, where rates climbed incrementally. These fluctuations reflect the ongoing volatility in the local currency market, with selling rates across various institutions currently ranging between 335 and 336 rupees per US Dollar.
