Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has instructed provincial governors and district officials to strictly enforce new deportation procedures against foreigners engaged in illegal activities or disruptive behavior. During a nationwide video conference, the Minister emphasized that authorities should utilize a public-order framework to remove undesirable individuals without necessarily waiting for the conclusion of criminal trials. The directive targets various issues, including unauthorized employment, nominee business structures, and intimidation of local residents. Anutin stressed that while law-abiding foreigners are welcome, those who exploit Thai citizens or violate regulations must face immediate action. The government has streamlined these administrative processes following the implementation of new regulations in late August, which clarify how existing deportation laws are applied. Officials have been encouraged to act decisively, with the ministry providing the necessary legal mechanisms to facilitate the removal of offenders from the country.
