Representatives from Uzbekistan and China recently met to discuss enhancing collaboration between their respective trade union federations. Wang Dongming, representing the Chinese side, outlined China's ongoing economic development and expressed a commitment to fostering direct dialogue and practical partnerships with Uzbek labor organizations. Kudratilla Rafikov, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, noted that the strong political ties between the two nations have facilitated this cooperation. The Uzbek delegation proposed five initiatives for joint development, with two already in progress. Future efforts will focus on sharing expertise, modernizing trade union practices, and expanding humanitarian connections. Additionally, the Chinese federation indicated a broader interest in engaging with trade unions across Central Asia to improve labor relations and social protection standards. During the visit, the Uzbek delegation toured industrial and cultural sites in Xi’an to observe Chinese labor management and logistics operations firsthand.
