State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit confirmed that gas pressure levels experienced a temporary decline following logistical delays in unloading liquefied natural gas. The disruption was attributed to turbulent weather conditions currently affecting the Bay of Bengal, which hindered the timely processing of an LNG carrier. According to the minister, operations to unload the fuel successfully recommenced on Friday morning at 7:18am. Authorities anticipate that the national gas supply network will stabilize and return to standard operational capacity by midday. The minister provided these updates while addressing inquiries regarding the recent utility shortages.
