Recent data from the ADP People At Work 2026 report reveals that a mere 15 percent of the local workforce feels secure in their current positions. According to ADP Senior Vice President Jessica Zhang, AI is fundamentally altering job roles and task requirements, leading to a significant disconnect between the reality of the employment landscape and the perceived stability of workers. This trend of apprehension is further supported by findings from the NTUC 2026 Survey on Economic Sentiments, where nearly 30 percent of respondents indicated similar worries. As industries evolve and new job categories emerge, professionals are questioning how to maintain their relevance and whether a complete career pivot might be necessary to adapt to these technological shifts.
