Al Ain’s impressive 38-game unbeaten streak in the UAE Pro League concluded after a 2-0 loss to Shabab Al Ahli. This defeat marks the team's first league setback in 19 months, ending a period that included a championship-winning campaign. Manager Vladimir Ivic expressed dissatisfaction with his team's defensive performance and their inability to score, which occurred for the first time in 32 matches. Goals from Sardar Azmoun and Kauan Santos secured the victory for Shabab Al Ahli, moving them into second place. Despite the loss, Al Ain remains part of a tight four-way tie at the top of the standings. Ivic has encouraged his squad to move past this result and refocus on future fixtures.
