The inaugural Nepal Volleyball League, hosted by the Kedia Group, has reached a critical juncture as competition for playoff spots intensifies. Six teams are currently vying for a position in the finals, with the top-ranked squad earning an automatic berth and the second and third-place teams competing in a playoff. Recent performances by Kathmandu Reds, led by Pakistani player Ahmed Raja, have significantly altered the standings after they defeated the previously unbeaten Sagarmatha Smashers. While Karnali Shivraj and Sagarmatha initially dominated, the league remains highly competitive with Annapurna Spiker Kings and Madhesh Warriors also contending for top-three finishes. Conversely, Khaptad Falcons face a difficult path forward after three consecutive losses. The tournament, which features 18 international players, will conclude with a final match on August 27, offering a prize of 20 lakh rupees to the champion.
