The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has appointed senior economist Dr. Kenneth De Zilwa as the new Chairman of its Financial System Stability Consultative Committee. This appointment was formally extended by Central Bank Governor Professor W.D. Lakshman. Dr. De Zilwa assumes his new responsibilities this month as part of the committee's recent reconstitution. The FSSCC plays a critical role in advising the monetary authority on matters concerning the stability of the national financial system.
