The Roads and Transport Authority, in partnership with the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, has inaugurated the Dubai Mobility Labs. Located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, this new site serves as a comprehensive ground-testing center for self-driving vehicles and emerging transport technologies. By providing both controlled tracks and public-road testing environments, the facility enables developers and researchers to validate their systems before commercial implementation. This initiative is a key component of Dubai’s broader Smart Self-Driving Transport Strategy, which seeks to transition a quarter of all local transit journeys to autonomous platforms. The center is positioned as the most sophisticated integrated testing hub for future mobility solutions within the Middle East, facilitating the certification of various autonomous models, including those from manufacturers like Tesla.
