Dubai authorities have issued a formal warning to pedestrians regarding the legal consequences of crossing streets in prohibited areas. Under the Federal Traffic Law, individuals who fail to utilize designated crossings or ignore traffic signals face a penalty of 400 Dirhams. Brigadier Majid Sultan Al Suwaidi emphasized the necessity for citizens and residents to prioritize road safety by ensuring paths are clear before crossing and strictly adhering to traffic lights. This announcement coincides with the launch of a new public awareness initiative aimed at fostering responsible behavior among road users and decreasing the frequency of traffic-related incidents.
