The European Union and Expertise France have introduced a collaborative project designed to improve the quality of environmental journalism across Sri Lanka. Working alongside the Sri Lanka Press Institute and Canal France International, this initiative is supported by the EU’s Green Recovery Facility. The program seeks to move beyond the traditional focus on natural disaster reporting by providing media professionals with the necessary expertise to cover complex topics. Participants will receive training to better analyze subjects such as sustainable development, climate finance, green investments, and biodiversity. By offering these resources, the project aims to foster more comprehensive and accurate reporting on the economic and policy aspects of the nation's green transition.
