During a recent townhall meeting, incoming Air India CEO and Managing Director Tewolde Gebremariam expressed his commitment to revitalizing the airline, adopting the slogan "Make Air India Great Again." Accompanied by Chairman N Chandrasekaran and outgoing CEO Campbell Wilson, Gebremariam emphasized that safety will be his primary focus, urging staff to foster a culture of accountability. He also highlighted the necessity of operational excellence, including punctuality and improved customer service, to restore the brand's potential. Chairman Chandrasekaran noted that the airline has faced significant challenges over the past 18 months, including geopolitical issues and operational disruptions. He stressed that the company's future success depends on building public trust through rigorous compliance and consistent service standards. Gebremariam, who is currently awaiting government security clearance, called for employee cooperation to drive the airline's next phase of growth.
