The Indian government has officially lowered the mandatory waiting period for booking liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) refills in rural regions. Previously set at 45 days, the interval between consecutive bookings has been reduced to 25 days. The Petroleum Ministry has formally instructed Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to execute this policy adjustment immediately. This administrative update aims to improve fuel accessibility for consumers living in rural areas by allowing them to secure their next cylinder significantly sooner than under the previous regulations.
