The Islamabad High Court has issued summons to the chief secretaries and police inspectors general from all four provinces of Pakistan. This judicial action follows a petition submitted by a citizen, Waqas Ahmed, which seeks to challenge the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's scheduled protest and long march set for September 27 in the capital. In addition to provincial officials, the court has requested the presence of Islamabad's chief commissioner, deputy commissioner, police chief, and the advocates general representing the provinces and the capital territory. These officials are expected to provide formal responses concerning the planned demonstration. The court's intervention occurs as the political party intensifies its efforts to mobilize supporters nationwide for the upcoming event in Islamabad. Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar is presiding over the legal proceedings initiated by the petitioner, who identified himself as a local trader concerned about the impact of the march.
