The decision follows Ohayon's criminal conviction for threatening the owners of Samui Exotic Park, an incident that escalated amid tensions over the display of a Palestinian flag and subsequent online confrontations. Although Ohayon received a suspended jail sentence and a fine for his actions, the government has moved to revoke his residency status. The case serves as a significant test for the new administrative framework designed to streamline the removal of foreigners involved in misconduct. Ohayon retains the right to appeal the ministerial order within seven days, though his current status remains uncertain as authorities monitor the situation to prevent further social unrest on the island.
