The Karnataka High Court has withdrawn a previous order concerning allegations of illegal government land allotment to the Siddhartha Vihara Trust, reportedly linked to the family of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. The court will hold a fresh hearing on October 30. This action follows a request from Rahul Kharge, Mallikarjun Kharge's son, to recall the August 18 order. The case involves accusations that the trust received approximately seven acres of government land, valued at over ₹240 crore, through the Bangalore Development Authority and the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board for educational purposes. While the land was reportedly returned, the complainant alleged insufficient action on a complaint filed with the Lokayukta police. The withdrawal of the earlier order allows for a reconsideration of the proceedings, with both parties to be heard before any new decisions are made.
