Kazakhstan has announced the birth of a second Przewalski's horse foal, a significant development in an international initiative aimed at reintroducing this endangered species to its native habitat. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources confirmed the arrival of the newborn. This latest birth occurred at the Alibi Wild Ungulates Reintroduction Center, situated within the Altyn Dala State Nature Reserve in the Kostanai Region. The mare, named Umbra, is the mother of the new foal. Experts are closely observing both the mare and her offspring to ensure their well-being and health. This event follows closely on the heels of the first Przewalski's horse foal born in Kazakhstan, which arrived on August 22 at the identical facility, born to a mare named Tessa. The program seeks to bolster the population of these rare wild horses.
