A citizens' organization known as the Indian People in Solidarity with Palestine reported that Mumbai Police conducted a search at the residence of a student activist on Friday. The group claims that authorities detained five individuals inside the home for several hours while searching the premises without providing a warrant or formal documentation. This action reportedly followed the activists' participation in a global campaign involving the flying of kites to support children in Gaza between September 11 and September 15. Additionally, a sixth member of the group was taken to the Bandra police station for questioning and was subsequently released later that evening. According to the organization, the police presence at the private residence lasted from late Friday afternoon until early Saturday morning.
