The Nepal Gen Z Front has published a formal document marking the first anniversary of the widespread youth protests that occurred in September 2024. This report evaluates the government's progress regarding the movement's primary objectives, which include enhancing transparency, ensuring institutional reform, and protecting digital rights. The organization is specifically seeking updates on the status of a ten-point agreement previously established between state officials and youth representatives. Furthermore, the document highlights ongoing concerns such as the legal status of protesters, the welfare of landless individuals, the effectiveness of parliamentary oversight, and the status of investigations into past civil unrest. By releasing this assessment, the group aims to hold political leaders accountable for the commitments made during the height of the demonstrations and to address unresolved systemic issues within the country's governance and security sectors.
