Data released by Nepal Rastra Bank indicates that the nation recorded Rs 215.05 billion in remittances during the initial month of the current fiscal year. This figure represents a 21.2 percent rise compared to the Rs 177.41 billion reported during the same period last year. When measured in US dollars, the inflows reached $1.40 billion, marking a 10.2 percent increase. Additionally, net secondary income climbed to Rs 229.98 billion, up from the Rs 193.85 billion observed in the previous year. The central bank also noted that the total remittance volume for the preceding fiscal year reached Rs 2.363 trillion. Furthermore, official records show that 42,693 Nepali citizens obtained final labor approvals during this opening month of the fiscal calendar.
