Nepal's stock market, represented by the NEPSE index, saw an increase of 18.07 points on Monday, concluding the trading day at 2,560 points. This marks the fourth consecutive session of gains for the market. On the preceding trading day, the index had advanced by 4.66 points. Market activity on Monday exhibited limited fluctuations, with the NEPSE index oscillating between a low of 2,542 and a high of 2,565 points throughout the day. Trading volume experienced a modest rise, with shares valued at Rs 3.83 billion changing hands, an increase from Rs 3.46 billion recorded on the prior trading day. A total of 195 companies witnessed an uptick in their share prices, while 79 experienced declines, and four remained stable. The non-life insurance sector led the gains, climbing by 2.05 percent, indicating a recovery after being impacted by recent floods.
