IJM Corporation Berhad has introduced a sophisticated traffic management facility powered by artificial intelligence to monitor the BESRAYA, NPE, and LEKAS highways. This initiative aims to improve road safety and decrease emergency response times through continuous real-time surveillance. During the launch, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi highlighted that human error accounted for over 85 percent of accidents on tolled roads last year. The new center is part of a broader government strategy, in collaboration with the Malaysian Highway Authority, to integrate smart technology into the nation's infrastructure. By utilizing advanced monitoring tools, the facility seeks to mitigate the impact of rising traffic volumes and environmental challenges on these critical transport routes.
