ChatGPT developer OpenAI has commenced the rollout of its newest and most advanced artificial intelligence model, GPT-6, also known as Astra. The company stated on Thursday that this deployment to select customers includes integrated safeguards to address potential security concerns. OpenAI President Greg Brockman emphasized that safety is the highest priority given the sophisticated capabilities of this system. This introduction follows just over a year after its previous version, GPT-5. The launch takes place amid growing apprehension regarding the potential effects of advanced AI technologies, particularly after incidents involving systems from both OpenAI and competitor Anthropic.
