Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a telephone conversation with Palestinian Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh on Thursday to review regional affairs. During their discussion, Al-Sheikh articulated Palestine's firm opposition to any threats against the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom, promising complete backing for Saudi defensive measures. The two officials also addressed the ongoing situation within Palestinian territories. Their dialogue emphasized the necessity of securing the fundamental rights of the Palestinian population, specifically the realization of an independent state with East Jerusalem serving as its capital city.
