The Provincial Electricity Authority in Thailand is investigating an unusually high electricity invoice for a vacant property in Udon Thani. The owner, a Bangkok resident, received a bill for 49,681.90 baht, a significant increase from the typical monthly charge of 26 baht. Upon visiting the premises, the owner discovered that the house had been burglarized. Authorities confirmed that various appliances, including air-conditioning units and a water pump, were stolen, and electrical wiring had been tampered with, leading to a power leak lasting nearly a month. A formal police report has been filed at the Mueang Udon Thani station. Law enforcement officials are currently analyzing fingerprints and reviewing local surveillance camera footage to identify the suspects responsible for the break-in and the subsequent damage to the property's electrical infrastructure.
