Authorities in Hong Kong have taken a 36-year-old man into custody following allegations that he absconded with a Mark Six lottery prize totaling approximately HK$30 million. The suspect reportedly failed to distribute the funds among 14 coworkers who had collectively contributed to the purchase of the winning ticket. The investigation began after a 53-year-old individual, identifying himself as part of the 15-person group, filed a report with law enforcement on Wednesday. According to reports, the group included employees from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the jackpot funds after the winning draw took place last Saturday.
