Qatar Tourism recently held a ceremony titled 'Legacy of Guides: Generation to Generation' at the Mall of Qatar to honor 147 individuals who finished various training initiatives in 2026. The event recognized participants from four distinct programs: the Junior Tour Guide Summer Camp, which involved 110 children; the 'Guiding the Next Generation' initiative, which prepared eight licensed guides for mentorship roles; the Youth Tour Guide Training Program, consisting of 19 attendees; and the Tour Guide Licensing Program, which successfully certified 11 new professionals. Omar Abdulrahman al-Jaber, the Director of Operations Affairs at Qatar Tourism, emphasized the vital role that tour guides play in shaping the overall experience for visitors by highlighting the nation's cultural heritage.
