Rabi Lamichhane, the leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, is increasingly becoming the primary diplomatic interlocutor for major global powers including the United States, India, and China. Although foreign representatives maintain contact with Prime Minister Balendra Shah, high-level international discussions are frequently centered on Lamichhane. Recently, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation with the RSP chairman to convey condolences regarding the severe flood damage in Rasuwa and pledged ongoing American support for the nation. Furthermore, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended an invitation to Lamichhane for a visit to New Delhi, signaling his growing influence in Nepal's foreign affairs and bilateral relations.
