Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of Nepal's Rastriya Swatantra Party, has traveled to India for a personal religious journey. Departing via Dhangadhi on Friday, Lamichhane stated that the trip is intended to fulfill a spiritual vow he made during his time in prison. Accompanied by his family, he plans to visit several sites, including the Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand and the Kamakhya Temple in Assam. Addressing media inquiries, the politician emphasized that the visit is strictly private and unrelated to any professional or political activities. He requested that the public refrain from speculating about potential political motives behind his travel. According to his secretariat, Lamichhane is scheduled to return to Nepal on Kartik 9 following the completion of his three-day spiritual itinerary.
