Riyadh Air has officially inaugurated its inaugural direct flight route between Riyadh and Bangkok, marking a significant development for Thailand's aviation and tourism sectors. The first flight arrived at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on September 3, receiving a formal welcome from representatives of the Tourism Authority of Thailand and various government officials. This new air link is strategically aimed at increasing the number of affluent travelers visiting Thailand from the Middle East, a demographic identified by authorities as essential for long-haul tourism expansion. To commemorate the launch of this service, the airline hosted a celebratory event at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok. The arrival ceremony featured key figures, including the Deputy Minister of Transport and senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, highlighting the importance of this partnership for bilateral travel connectivity.
