South Korea encountered a sharp drop in temperatures this Friday morning, signaling an early transition toward winter conditions. Data from the Korea Meteorological Administration indicates that most areas across the nation saw temperatures dip below 10 degrees Celsius. In the capital, Seoul, the morning low reached 6.6 degrees Celsius, while northern Gyeonggi Province and inland Gangwon Province experienced even colder weather, with readings falling under 5 degrees Celsius. The arrival of these chilly conditions has already resulted in visible frost, particularly affecting agricultural fields in Inje County, Gangwon Province, where cabbage and chili pepper crops were coated in a thin layer of ice. This sudden cooling trend marks a notable shift in the seasonal climate for the region.
