The Pakistani Embassy in Tehran and the ECO Cultural Institute recently launched an exhibition titled “Pakistan Through the Ages.” Opened on October 20, the event features a collection of historical photographs, paintings, and calligraphy to illustrate the long civilizational history of Pakistan, ranging from the ancient Mehrgarh era to its modern literary traditions. The exhibition serves to emphasize the deep-rooted cultural connections between Iran and Pakistan, particularly the influence of Persian language and literature in the region. During the opening ceremony, representatives discussed the potential for increased tourism and cultural collaboration. Statements from the Pakistani ambassador highlighted that the nation’s identity is built upon millennia of history, predating its 1947 independence. The event was attended by various cultural officials and diplomats, aiming to foster stronger bilateral ties through shared heritage and artistic exchange.
